I agree with you that Mayo is not afraid to get hit, but the thing is De La Hoya is far too discipined to fall into Mayo's game plan. Do you think that Oscar is going to let himself get hit like Vernon? No, I don't think so. Vargas said the same thing about Oscar that was going to demolish him. Even with steroids he was taken out! Now I'm not saying that Oscar will come out and have a perfect night, not at all, the man will not have fought in a year and a half! Of course he is going to have ring rust. But what I am saying is that when Mayo puts his guard down and taunts Oscar to hit him, Oscar is not going to get careless and fall into his gameplan. Many have tried but, I don't think I have seen a fight where Oscar lured into fighting his opponents fight. Again, this is just my opinion.

man oscar hasnt fought in his longest layoff ever! oscar is not gonna be able to jog around the ring anymore as proven in his fight with hopkins and sturm! he was gassed so he pretend to be hurt to the body! but he was able to punish the ring mat with a barrage of hard ass punches! my question is how was he able to hit that mat so hard and not hopkins? hahahaa i have been hit their and when you go down you aint moving your arms hard like that because your side is cramped like hell it takes a good 3 minutes to revive fully.

well if oscar comes in shape! then its a different story and ya he probally might be underestimating mayo but one hard punch on head would wobble oscar he has to be really fleet footed. Trindad is a different guy he relys mainly on power he waits for fighters to come forward so he can pick them apart, oscar is the one who does the running most of the time but do you think he has light feet still?

The only way oscar will win is by Decision and we all know that. The other possibility is that Mayorga KO's him. Mayorga stated that fighting Oscar is his dream. He might be very motivated, and if he comes in, in excellent shape..I see an early night for DLH. If not, DLH comes out with a decision. Either way I want to really see this fight.
