Even Golden Boy thinks that Ortiz has little or no chance against Mayweather.

Richard Schaefer is already in negotiations to make Khan vs Mayweather fight for next year.

Now this fight is only viable if Mayweather beats Ortiz, so why is Schaefer Ortiz's promoter in talks with Al Haymon about this fight.

It show a distinct lack in confidence in Ortiz and even if he does believe Ortiz does not have much of a chance he should at least publicly not let it been shown.

On the bright side Khan vs Mayweather would be a good match up and Khan has the skill set and style to give Floyd real problems and beat him.

But bad show from GBP and Schaefer

He's not concerned because he's a banker first and foremost, and will make more money working with Mayweather to milk 1M+ PPVs fighting Golden Boy fighters. Works out for both really. Easy fights for FLoyd for big money. As for Schaefer's fighters, they're not likely to go on to be big PPV monsters. Ortiz has never even headlined a PPV, with all the massive hype he's had since they signed him. With his style, Ortiz is likely to get a few loses before too long anyway. And Khan has potential in the UK, but will never be that big of a star in the US. Losing to Mayweather, they'll go back to doing the same numbers they always did. I also expect a Guerrero and an Alvarez fight somewhere down the line too, probably before a Pac fight.

Agreed. Richard Schaefer and DLH know Ortiz is going to quit like a dog or get totally outclassed by Mayweather, Ortiz has no chance in hell against Mayweather and they are already looking to make Khan Mayweather.

What that means is Ortiz has to knock him out cause the Judges will be paid off if it's a close decsion expect a Castillo One rip off if Ortiz beats him in 12 only to have the judges steal the fight.

I hope the betting odds favor Mayweather this much, Ortiz is a live dog. He has quick hands, hits very hard and throws good combos. Mayweather is going to have a tougher fight than hes had in quite a few years.

              Really?

I'd love for Victor to win but Lamont Peterson was countering him at will

What do you think Floyd is going to do to him?

I do believe Ortiz has a genuine chance on giving Floyd problems or even winning the fight.

But not because Ortiz is that great to spoil Floyd on a good night for him and a bad one for Floyd.

Floyd's inactivity will take it's toll.
