  • Manny Pacquiao accused of slapping a grown ass man.

PHILIPPINES- Jonne Bulandres, also of the Philippines, is accusing Boxing Icon Manny Pacquiao of slapping him, following a near accident close to Pacquiao's home last week. The incident was reported to the Makar Police, who questioned Pacquiao about the incident. "I did not hit anyone," said Pacquiao, in an interview with ABS-CBN. Pacquiao, who was traveling by motorcycle, says he was nearly run-over by Bulandres, and merely confronted Bulandres after the man shouted expletives at him.

Pacquiao (40-3-2, 31KO's) returned to his native Philippines following his impressive victory over Mexican Hector Velasquez (42-11-2), on Sep. 10, in Los Angeles. Pacquiao is expected to return to the U.S. at the end of the year to begin preparing for his rematch against Mexican Erik Morales (48-3, 34KO's), who scored a unanimous decision over Pacquiao in March of this year.

The altercation continues to be investigated by police.

Pac is known for his bar room brawls at home. He's got the ego of a bully, from what I've read.

        hmm

I think he is a true gentleman for slapping the guy. He coulda hit em with that Manilla Ice...that woulda been deadly.

LOL...seriously though if this guy tried to run Pac over I'd hit him, too, or at least think about it.

I'm talking about his past history. This bar room brawl may have been before his fight with Barrera. Sometimes, popularity makes one behave a little better.

                    Pacquiao lacks
                    self-discipline

MUCH as I admire Manny Pacquiao, I deplore the way he figured in a bar incident in General Santos City at around 2 a.m. on Friday. As the IBF super-bantamweight champion, Pacquiao was supposed to be in bed early as part of his training for a forthcoming title bout against New York-based Mexican Emmanuel Lucero in Los Angeles on July 26. But instead he was out of the house spending the night on a drunken spree with friends. Where is self-discipline here?

Pacquiao reportedly went wild, smashing beer bottles, chairs and tables and overturning motorbikes parked outside the bar after the club singer refused to go out with the boxer, saying she was "already married and was not working for outside business."

There is no question that Pacquiao, 24, is a good boxer, but exemplary he is not. Nor will he ever be, because truly exemplary and great boxers worthy of emulation do not stay up all night and get into barroom troubles.

Early this year, Pacquiao incurred the ire of the Philippine Sportswriters Association when he snubbed the annual PSA Awards Night at the Holiday Inn where he was to receive a trophy as "2002 Athlete of the Year" together with Busan Asian Games equestrian gold medal winner Mikee Cojuangco-Jaworski. The boxer claimed he was suffering from a bum stomach that day, but reports said he was just feigning illness because he was feeling bad after losing a hefty sum in a game of billiards the night before. Is success spoiling Pacquiao?

Pacquiao's camp, led by business manager Rod Nazario, had wanted to send the boxer to California early to train under renowned Freddie Roach, but the plan was aborted when the champ was unable to get a US working visa on time.
It's old news but it's not from the tabloids. You ****ing idiot.
