I'm from the same hometown as Kermit. To be honest.. and I wouldn't be a bit surprised if he loses this one or escapes with a close call. He's more PHYSIQUE than he is SUBSTANCE. Many that were impressed with him years back as a prospect no longer expect big things from Cintron. He will fail miserably vs the next elite/fairly elite opponent he faces. He is a classic example of how HYPE can take you farther than your TRUE talents and abilities merit.

Cintron is a very dangerous fighter who imo only lost to Martinez..I had him beating Pwilly(but the was not enough time to score a fight anyway)and Marga's is suspect...Cintron gives any fighter from 147lb to 154lb a hard time, and not many would beat him..Cintron get's a bad wrap imo for some of the dumb things he does in the ring, but that's not to say the kid is not a very dangerous fight for anybody at any weight he's at..

I was hoping he stayed at 154 to fight CAnelo or a rematch with Angulo... IMO Canelo would beat him and it would look good on his resume.. Angulo got out boxed that night but claims he was sick, the fight was competetive so I would love to see the rematch, Cintron needs to stay away from P Williams and MArtinez though.. For PR's a fight with Cotto would be big.. Id say Cintron would beat Cotto.. He is too big for Cotto!!!!!

Kind of sad he had to move up to 154 because he couldn't get a fight there and now he's moving back down because couldn't get a fight again despite being highly rated in jr middleweight.

He should have stayed at 154 and kept on trying though. The division is stacked. Welterweight is basically dead and it's too much to hope for Pac and Mayweather. A fight against Cotto for the ring belt would have been great.
