Who did he fight? two 40 year olds and sorry ass Jeff Lacy? He was blessed with being around at a time where the division had not matured into what it is today. All of the fore mentioned names carried the exact same hype until they were exposed. Froch is the truth no doubt. He won't beat Ward but he has a great chance. As for Khan, if the focused Judah comes to fight, then he will be exposed as the fraud that I suspect him to be. Let Calzahe stayed retired.
mate, dont be a **** all ur life....goto boxrec and check these guys records.
the great joe calzaghe is unbeaten, thats UNBEATEN! got it yet??
hamed kod, kelly, johnson, sanchez, who were yanky elite.hatton beat vince philips, ben tackie, the great kostya tszyu, luis collazo and kod luis castillo in four! and only lost to the p4p best on the tail end of his career.
david haye had a bad night on saturday but, his fight record shows different. now..that brings me to my assessment of the remaining two...
fatboy and the *********...oh dear...i place these two at the same level in many ways.....first of all, they are both s.h.i.t..
second, khan was kod by a nobody in under 55 seconds.
he has nothing except for a famous trainer whom would not be that if it were not for pacmans skills.
khan has only gained patience and weight nothing more.
fury, hes fat and punches himself with uppercuts and is a c.u.n.t.
he has only about 3 fights to his ****** name.....boring.
am i to assume ur a yank? probably.
carl froch has showed excellent skill and has one of the strongest chins in the boxing game(you can check) and the hardest punch at the weight.
put these three ingredients together and he beats andre ward.
dont get me wrong, ward is good and if he beats carl it will be close points verdict unless its in germany(who we beat back in 1945(wwII) and 1966 (world cup).
lets wait and see but, i will have a wager with you......20k says carl beats andremy guy what do you say?

how manytimes did jones/hopkins/tyson/ali/holmes/robinson/mayweather/delahoya/toney or any of the other yanky elite fight in the uk?
what the **** does fighting in yanksville matter?
dont tell me its the home of boxing because i will call you a ****.
its about who will face who and the likes of jones and hopkins avoided nigel benn/chris eubank/steve collins/j.c/and others here like the plague when approached by barry hearn and fishy frank.
its about who will face who.
also, if you remember nigel benn went out there and wiped the floor with all yanks brave enough to face him.
dont be a **** about where fighters fight.

Im an american and I have to say the whole, "When did he fight in the U.S?" thing is garbage. He defended his title for a decade, when was he supposed to come to the U.S. and why would he chase anyone over here. He was the champ. Not to mention that Europe during the 90's had some of the toughest SMW's and LHW's ever and no one was going over there to fight them. While I do wish Joe would have fought longer, the world was just starting to appreciate the greatness, and i wish he would have taken on the big guys sooner, he wound up fighting the best in the game at the time, he beat everyone he was ever put up against and 2 of the guys he beat half a decade ago are still in the top 1-4 of their respective divisions.

calzaghe conducted his own super six tournament with himself, mger mtchikian, juan carlos giminez ferrari and the best americans: peter manfredo, will mcintyre and tocker pudwill....and he destroyed them all!

After that, Jeff Lacy became a bum by the same people who said he would win that fight. Then he unified his division by beating Mikkel Kessler, hardly a bum. Then he beat the reigning Ring Magazine Light Heavyweight Champion, who despite being a "40 year old," is again the best Light Heavyweight in the world at 46. I would say he closed out his career pretty strongly. Who would you have liked him to face at Light Heavyweight? Guys who Hopkins is still superior to?
The only people that picked Lacy were people who, 1. didn't know boxing and 2. Morons. Like I said he fought when the class was not as strong as it is now. I would have liked him to fight Froch, Dirrell,Ward or Bute. As for Kessler, he will NEVER be champion again because the class is much stronger now than when we fought Calzaghe. The Hopkins win was a good win even though the fight was a lot closer than scored and also, if you watch the fight again you'll see Calzaghe slapped with weak punches and missed a whole lot! He was over rated period!

I'll take that 20K bet on the Froch Ward fight. You do however really need to check yourself. It's ok to debate without the name calling and insults. I could very well indulge in such tactics but, I'm more in the mood for a good debate. Undefeated means **** if all you fought were bums. Other than Jones and Hopkins, who on his resume is hall of fame or even worthy of being remembered 5 years from now? Both were over 40. You check his record and get back to me. As for Hamed, he was a cur! He also fought Kelly when he was passed his prime. Ask anyone that watched Kelly fight! Hamed was all show and no go. I will give Hatton props on the Tszyu win but he actually lost the Collazo fight in my opinion and we saw what happened when he fought the other elite fighters making him not worthy of being considered elite. Haye, LOL you must be kidding. He was a limey bum that talked his way into a huge money fight. He has no heart, no chin and limited skills. He's very one dimensional. I said Froch was the truth. I like him. He is the complete package. So you engaging me about Froch is beyond me. I will accept your wager on that fight Mate. It will be fun to watch.

Hopkins was #3 p4p by the ring magazine when calzaghe fought him. years later hopkins is still regarded as number 1 lhw.
