I don't know why, but I just don't score it really when judging a fight. I take it into account, but usually much more with flush jabs that knock the head back. This is probably why I gave Haye 4 rds against Wlad. Almost 5.

I guess you have to compare it to what the non jabbing fighter is doing.

I thought Haye won the first 3 rds, and the 12th. One on the middle was close, but I dont remember. Neither did much in the first 2 but I thought Haye did more, especially with going to the body a few times.

Well scoring a jab is better than scoring nothing and a lot if not most of Haye's hayemakers were rolled or blocked.

you obviously don't know how to score fights then threadstarter. Ever heard of ring generalship? It's not all about punches.

That would explain that scorecard because I can't see how Haye won more than 3 rounds.

I was more impressed with the entire production. Can't top the Brits when it comes to a full-on promotion ...

in all fairness I did give Haye 4 rounds, the rest was a boring and wholly forgettable fight...I have seen kids get knocked silly thinking they can just stick the jab on a shorter guy all night...every jab Wlad threw was flush enough...
