    Foreman-Briggs

Is there anyone that thinks that Briggs 'won' this fight? I Think it was a really bad decision and every report I've read backs me up.

I Understand the argument that it was probably good for George's health to retire him, but a win is a win or surely the Sport means nothing?

Foreman won the fight in my mind but I actually was glad he did not get the nod as I was glad he did not get the nod against Tommy Morrison.

George carried both men and could have knocked either man out but he refused to do it, George at that point in his career was not going to beat guys into submission, he also let Alex Stewart get off the hook early in their fight and he paid dearly for that!

He would not finish guys plain and simple...after some of these fights he would talk about how old he was and how guys like Shannon and Tommy are young up and coming fighters who needed these victories much more than himself...when hearing this kind of stuff from George I felt like he needed to leave the sport immediately!

    Yes, Goerge beat Briggs though.

I saw the Morrison/Foreman fight on TV and I don't think Foreman could have been fast enough to touch Morrison. Morrison was also very careful not to get caught, coz even a glancing hit from Foreman is Goodnight, Sleep Tight. It was a good tactical fight but not overly exciting.

Briggs-Foreman was an all time SHAM.

Tommy fought like he was scared to death of George and rightfully so with his chin being so bad...

Morrsion would land some great shots and then circle big George, he repeated this process throughout the fight until he began to fade later in the fight.

George had a couple opportunities that he could have easily capatalized on late in the fight but he simply let them pass, Tommy was all thru in that fight the last 3 or 4 rounds, trust me he was all thru and George knew it and didnt care.

It was so long ago, I couldn't remember the last stage. I think both of them were tired, though. Even if Big George was trying for a come-from-behind KO, he still had to get close to the circling Morrison.
