    • We don't need to compare opponents and divert to stawman tactics. This could be a lot simpler.

Lets just compare them for what they are physically, and talent wise. What they can do individually and how it would play out head to head.

Lets ignore whether all of Tyson's wins and Ko's were against bums or the best fighters ever. Lets ignore whether all of Wlad's wins were against the nothing but bums OR the best fighters ever.

Lets just focus on a 6'7 guy, who isn't a Paul Williams type, not boxing properly and taking too many chances. But rather a pure Boxer - who has perfected his tall-man style and maximized it's effectiveness in the ring. The whole Hit and not get hit thing that Floyd talks about.

And on the other, an aggressive 5'11 Heavyweight with big punching power who has maximized the effectiveness of what it's like to come forward and Ko fighter.

Now you throw any B.S excuses out the window and imagine these guys at their best on fight time and one would think that a taller, rangier boxer, who refuses to engage on the inside, will dictate the 3 minute rounds and be the Ring General the majority of the time. The only way this won't happen is if a game changer is landed almost immediately and the Tall guy can no longer dictate with his jab and boxing skills.

Can you really imagine Tyson consistently getting on the inside and breaking Wlad down, round after round, three minutes after three minutes. When Wlad knows how to grab you and hold you, especially a small 5'11 guy.

Now if you agree with that than you're agreeing that Tyson is the one who has more work cut out for him to get that victory than Wlad does. He has a punchers chance by default. If you believe he will land it and KO Wlad, than fine, it's possible. But if it doesn't happen, than Wlad the boxer is almost guaranteed to put rounds in the bank and depending on how just effective he is, break Tyson down, making him less aggressive and eventually knocking him out, or making him quit.

This is why I say in a Boxer Vs Puncher scenario. In a Tall Boxer VS Short Aggressive Fighter Scenario, that the Tall great Boxer will win 9 out of 10 times. Unless again you get into strawman tactics and either try to underrate Wlad's effectiveness, while overrating Tyson's by comparing their opposition.

He's a cheater, we get it, anyone who thinks Lewis won is just a troll. Vitali was crushing him and then Lewis broke one of the most simple and basic rules in boxing on purpose he held vitali behind the head and threw an illegal punch. If Vitali had kicked Lewis and knocked him out would that have counted?

Im a boxing fan, not a fan of that UFC MMA gay ****. It was illegal, Lewis lost, get over it, its been 8 years, Lewis retired in shame and disgrace and Vitali rules boxing. Vitali and his fans moved on, why cant Lewis fans just accept that their hero was nothing but a POS cheating coward? And Lewis feels the need to try to talk about the Klitschko's now and give advice, the dude sounds ******ed. He knows one language and he speaks worse than most downsyndromed kids. Most likely his lack of intelligence and semi-******ed speech is due to the vicious beating Vitali gave Lewis when he retired the bum.

As for Tyson? Uhh...Who cares how tough the division is when you dont have a single win over the top...I dont know...12 fighters of the era?

        0-1: Lewis
        0-0: Bowe
        0-2: Holyfield
        0-0: Foreman
        0-0: Moorer
        0-0: Morrison
        0-0: Tua
        0-0: Ibeabuchi
        0-0: Mercer
        0-0: Larry Donald
        0-0: Kirk Johnson
        0-0: john Ruiz
        0-0: Hasim Rahman

Seriously who the heck did this guy beat? The only way you can even list Tyson as a HOF'er is if you think hehad a prime that lasted for 2 years, 1987-1989. Everything before that was against bums, and he didnt beat anyone of note after that.

No version of Tyson beats either Klitschko, but for someone to even dream of Tyson beating Vitali is hilarious. Tyson won on fear. Vitali grew up in the old soviet union, experienced nuclear radiation fears, dabbles in ukranian politics, grew up fighting...dudes not going to fear a 5'10 210lbs ******ed thug from brooklyn.

Hell, I dont even think the fight would happen, Tyson would run his mouth at the press conference and Vitali would pick him up by his throat and Tyson would pull out.
To be fair Tyson was unified and lineal hw champion of the world...

If you harp on Tyson's record, you should be doing the same to Wladamir.

tyson had people to fight, tyson was never dominant over a stretch close to as long as Wlad. Wlad fights the best out there, he does whatever it takes to get the best in the ring including giving 0 options and giving a 50/50 split to a guy with a paper strap. Tyson didnt fight 10 of the 12 best fighters of the 90's and he as 0-3 against the guys he did fight...Thats called a joke career. I rate Tyson somewhere between butterbean and danny williams all time

            • I love Tyson.... he is a legend and there will be no one quite like him... BUT with no disrespect to Mike... Golota is slow as ****! He's landing jabs at will... Mike is not all that fast either....

Klitschkos are tall dude who fight tall and especially Wlad is a master at keeping his distance.... Tyson never gets close to land anything significant.. Wlad would simply Jab his head off... come on.. Mike is 5'10 this is a total mismatch!!!

interesting. i'm one of the opinion it would take a tysonesk type boxer
to beat the klitschs from the inside. we havent seen anyone yet try it.

bobbin and weavin close in. movin side to side. i don't know.
