why do white europeans seem to be better than white americans at boxing?

White Americans don't box anymore. White Europeans are dirt poor so they got that hunger.

The latter part is a bit simplistic. Hatton, Burns, Kessler, Froch, Calzaghe etc don't come from particularly poor backgrounds. Not sure about the Klits, Abraham etc.

Perhaps given that there has been so many black US champions boxing is seen as a black man's sport in the US and white american people don't gravitate to it as much?
