question regarding the WBA and all their belts

OK, so now Wlad is unified and has the WBA belt with a few others he's gonna (if he hasnt already) become the WBA "super" champ or whatever they call it.

Pov and Chag will likely fight for the "regular" WBA belt.

What happens if the winner of that fights Vitali? Then there will be 2 "unified champions" with WBA belts. Are they gonna have 2 super champions, come up with a brand spanking new belt (please no) or whats the story?

Do they have anything in their rules about this?

Im just curious as to how much of a joke they are willing to become

There are no formal rules with the WBA, they just make them up as they go. Just look at the mw division, the WBA has 3 champions - a "regular," a "super," and an "interim" FFS!

Its not just the HW and MW divisions where the WBA has more than one champion.

JMM is the real champion at LW but Brando Rios has a regular WBA title. same at LWW Khan is the real champion but Maidana vs Guerrero are fighting for the regular belt.

yeah they are gonna do the same with JWW and have 3 different champs if things go as planned.

Im just curious as to how they are gonna play if if there are 2 "unified" champs with WBA belts in the same division lol

Hmmm that's a good question, I hadn't thought about that situation. They probably won't let the regular champion unify to avoid it and that's it, is my guess.

they let gamboa unify with salido while being the regular wba champ and he too was declared super champ while chris john (super wba champ at the time) became champion in recess

its the only situation panda knows of where there was a risk of two super champs in a weight division
