I'll remember him as a good cruiserweight, who generated a lot of interest in boxing, but just didnt have quite enough at world level in the heavys
All he had were a couple of handfuls of 10-12 rd fights. nearly half of his 26 fights were 4 or 6 rounders, he was a bare novice who talked himself into a valuable heavyweight title fight.
So he'll be known as the FLUKE Champ. I'll remember him as a liar and charlatan.
If I remember him at all....it's much easier to forget him. I remember guys like Harold Johnson, Gaspar Ortega, Luis Rodriguez, and most of all, the All time Greatest Amateur boxer and undefeated Pro Middleweight, Laszlo Papp.
His cruiserweight record, based on his complete record can only be then regarded as

He will be remembered for having good abilities, but not many fights. Not a regular fighter but more part time.
But depending on what David expected he probably has surpassed what he ever believed he could do. So as long as he is happy what does it matter.
