The reason why none of the sanctioning bodies should be taken too seriously is because they will not recognise the other 3x champions, and they do not consistantly enforce mandatories.

He doesn't need it anyway. Mares-Agbeko is coming up. Donaire can fight the winner to crown a true champion at the weight. And sanctioning bodies are hilarious when they try to justify their stripping belts with some code of honor.

You're right, Mayweather went a year before he defended his WBC welter belt and Berto went 11 months without defending his among the countless others who get a pass but Donaire deserves to stripped after 6 months and Sergio deserves to get pushed aside for earning his belt the hard way. i hate the wbc as much as the next guy , but you can't just win a belt and keep it for 6 months without defending it

It's got nothing to do with his inactivity, even though i wouldn't call it that because he was fighting just over 4 months ago, WBC should've took in to consideration that Donaire was having problems with Top Rank, which was the reason he hasn't had a fight scheduled.
