    Sources in Mexico indicate that WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is likely going to fight in the month of September, in Mexico, which is going to be a homecoming first defense of the title he won in June from Sebastian Zbik in Los Angeles, California. A date of September 24 has been mentioned and Fox Sports may televise as part of the Top Rank Live series. Chavez would then return on November 19, with San Antonio, Texas as the likely location. No opponent has been finalized for either date.

      he should fight manfredo in mexico and then take care of his mandatory in november againts rubio. That would be great if they put it in the pac undercard.

                  They will continue to line up bums and come up with another excuse why they can't fight top opposition. They will be looking again for a fighter with little power cause Jr gets hit so much. They will also prefer a fighter that gasses out during the bout to make that body attack more effective

                          Bob Arum makes me sick! He uses PPVs as an excuse to duck Sergio Martinez. How's Martinez not a PPV attraction, when Chavez Jr's bouts are on Fox Sports, Top Rank Live, and Boxing After Dark/World Championship Boxing on regular HBO air? It's hoopla. He talks about Floyd fighting bums, smaller guys, or ducking? Look at his fighters dodging guys left and right.
