    Floyd vs Manny: Mandatory??

Is the fight in September actually forcing the fight into reality? If Floyd becomes WBC champ with a win, will either the sanctioning bodies from the WBA or WBO make Floyd and Manny each others mandatory title defense? Floyd stated at the LA press conference that Manny was next. So is this a chess move to force Manny's hand or will we get another Rid**** Bowe "I rather throw my belt in the trash than fight you moment" from Arum and company?

If you recall, Floyd dismissed the title when he fought Shane, now he's talking about taking the belt away from Ortiz as if he "cares" about a belt again. Is Team Mayweather finally ready to turn up the heat on Arum and Manny by now noticeably acknowledging they want the fight, mentioning that Ortiz is preparing him for a Manny showdown, even saying "Manny you are next" at the press conference, and fighting for a belt to force the sanctioning bodies hands?

Before any debate should start, please post proof showing Floyd saying straight out, "Manny, you are next".

that will be a good push for the fight to happen......

      i have my doubts, though.......

without any ill-meaning, i am not one to jump with joy on this as pbf has shown time and again that he is his own man, rightly or not.....don't think he will relish being pushed in a corner, if you know what i mean.................

if i am not mistaken, not even the courts had moved pbf to appear or submit a deposition up to this time.....

I'm speaking from the standpoint that with each being the champ, it would thus make each other the de facto #1 contender to the others belt.

Wow, today is upside down and opposite day. Again, I'm agreeing with another poster I don't agree like Larry. I don't the alphabet soup belt organizations are going to make either Duckweather and Pacquiao fight. Your opinion remains as a fantasy or very unlikely to happen. If it happens it will be the first time to happen. Promoters can push for a unification fight if the money is there but ultimately the sole answer lies on the boxers themselves.

It doesn't work like that. You only have to look at the number of fighters who have to relinquish their titles when having a unification bout.

The WBC would have their number one contenders as would the WBO.

Floyd has always fought for the WBC, ONLY.

The sole fight he fought for a belt not from the WBC, was for the IBF against Zab Judah.

Other than that, Floyd is strictly a WBC fighter. That is the real reason why he didn't want to pay sanctioning fees for the WBA title in the Mosley fight.
