Lujan is a grinder, he just keeps working and working even if he isn't the most refined boxer out there.

Don't brag about your plaster-master cheating scumbag of a boxer. Your cheating fighter probably was wearing plaster during that fight, thats why his opponents ear was mangled.

When's the last time you seen someone punch someones ear off? It's pretty sick you only root for Margaresto only because he is Mexican.

Melligen was sharp as a tack early on and easily won the first 3 rounds of the fight, however, Lujan's constant pressure and machismo lead to Melligen's unraveling and mental breakdown. It was kind of surprising because Melligen was the much more skilled fighter and Lujan has such a crude style where he leaves himself open 50% of time and his his punches are wide and clubbing. It goes to show ya that boxing is a sport where mental toughness goes along way and sometimes and can trump skill..

Fighters like Lujan, Carlos Molina, and Brian Vera aren't the most skillful fighters out there; however, if you're not in prime condition you will be taken out by them. It's that simple!

Melligan style has limited combination just throws power punches that's why when he was unable to hit lujan he faded. He should learn to attack the body continously to be able to hit his opponent head.

Skill is a quality that doesn't always look the same, it's actually getting the best out of what you have to work with. Lujan overcomes his liabilities, turns them in his favor. He uses his odd style to confuse and set up some good shots. That's skill. I used to bowl against a guy with a bent leg, and a bad arm. He would limp to the line and throw a wild, funny looking shot, but I didn't laugh as I payed him his money.

Good point. I guess, to the untrained eye, Lujan looks crude at times and his punches don't look super sharp. To his credit though, he fought his fight and was able to get the win..
