  • Comments Thread For: Melligen's Manager Discusses The Shock Lujan Loss

At its best, boxing has a way of lifting us in an almost magical way, whether you are a fighter in the ring or someone closely connected to the sport in general. But just as the highs are heroic, so too can the lows be devastating.

he was never going to win a belt just wasnt good enough but he did give a show but if you lose to a guy dancing with his hands down and you cant counter him you cant beat world class top rank will drop him they are a grimey company

I can't believe I'm agreeing with you. Still, I agree. Melligen fought a good fight. And he has heart, stood up 3 times just to be knockdown again. I guess it was just the fact that he was overpowered this time. Melligen fought within the game plan from Round 1 to Round 3. Still, he wanted to put on a show and so he went toe-to-toe with his opponent. Paul Williams went toe-to-toe against Sergio Martinez and it knocked him out. Melligen and Paul should have stayed within their game plan which was outside boxing. A win is a win.

I hope Melligen comes back again. He wasn't terrible and he came to fight. What more can you say?

Martin is very honest. He sadi Top Rank doesn't want their fighters to lose. That is why they put their guys in with old men and guys coming off losses.

Melligen is another pinoy hypejob. But Lujan didn't read the script.

Pacquiao/Donaire don't suck so I doubt it. Lujan was mad funny tho, he ate that kids heart.

Melligen just didn't have the stamina to survive against Lujan, the guy started pretty good, boxing Lujan and landing some hard shots, but he got tired and Lujan is a tough guy who threw a lot of punches, and in the end that proved to be too much for Melligen.
