Does David Haye Really Need to Retire?

I hear Haye said he would like to rematch Wlad, I don't think that would be a bad idea. Not right away though.

There's still Helenius and Arreola and Povetkin (If he's still alive) out there for him to fight, and maybe Adamek after he loses to Vitali. So there's still almost a handful of opponents for him to choose from to get himself right back into another title fight where it would make sense. Say Haye fights and beats one of the first three fighters I mentioned, I'd say a rematch with Wlad would make sense.

What do you people think? would you like to see a rematch and would it make sense?

I think with the right tactics, he could beat Wlad. Last night they got it all wrong, and I'm not buying the broken Toe excuse by the way, It may well have been broken but, he can't use that for the fact that he never showed up.

Haye was last night proven to be a gigantic hypejob. He should just retire. As it is nobody gives a **** what he wants to do and if he wants to continue his career it will have to be from scratch.

I think you are right. Haye's technique is total garbage, his "Hayemaker" right hand looks like he is fast bowling at cricket. His footwork is dreadful with his wide stance, how the hell can he close the distance when up against a guy with a huge reach advantage with a stance like that. That is why he had to rush in and then fall on the ground to avoid getting hit on the way out. Who needs to see a rematch of that. Having said that I was very disappointed in Wlad's prodding safety first cautious approach. The truth is both of them are not really that good but Haye is a lot worse.

No, he still has something to offer the heavyweight division as long as he starts taking fights we actually want to see, like Adamek and Arreola and Solis. I'm still quite interested in seeing Vitali beat him up, too.

I don't really want to see him in there with Wlad again. The result was pretty conclusive, and I'd prefer to see Wlad take on new challenges like Povetkin and co.

Haye fought 39 years old WBA (aka fringe) contenders in their "farewell matches" then landed a fight with Wlad literally by asking for it for 3-4 years

Fighting young guys with a pulse in non-title fights to actually prove his worth? Povetkin etc? I'll believe it when I see it

The doofus is already asking for a rematch with Wlad. Anyone else would be hiding in a closet waiting for society to forget he exists. Haye has some serious personality disorder and will do anything for money.

I thought Skill wise Haye fought well against a far bigger man.
Wlad couldn't lay one decent punch on him...Haye just wasn't offensive enough and that what lost him the fight.
