    HBO are ******s

    More specifically Larry Merchant.

"Larry, you made the point that David Haye is actually the betting favourite in Britain"

Erm no he wasn't. Every bookmaker I checked out in the UK had Haye as the underdog.

I should know seeing as I ******ly put a tenner on him.

    Never again.

I wish I had watched a HBO stream instead, the comedy from the HBO team would have made sitting through that fight worthwhile.

The HBO team(other than Roy but Roy started to get on him in the end) was very critical of David Haye. They bagged on David like no fighter before. Can't say I blame them though. You talk a big game, you better bring a big game. If it makes you feel any better they weren't slurping Klit either. Even Roy at the end was pretty much this is **** and I know we can find a young American to beat this guy. I think HBO said what most fans were thinking.

I don't remember Merchant saying that about UK betters but I do remember Lampley pointing out how much the UK sportsbook took in for the Hatton/Mayweather fight and then proceeded to crack a joke about Brits being biased saying something like "we do know Brits like to bet with their hearts". It was a slight low blow but lets be honest it's true. Brits think their fighters are usually better than what they are and think way too highly of their futbol program. They are pretty biased.

He said it in the 11th round just before the "knockdown".

Yeah I agree I bet with my heart on the Haye fight. I'm cool with Haye losing. But the post-fight excuses and the performance after all the pre-fight trash talk was embarrassing.

Of course HBO will hate on Haye v Klitschko.

They can't stand to see the division dominated by European fighters.

I can't remember how many times I have stayed up all night to watch a HBO broadcast, only to be disappointed by the fight on show. Although when it involves American's it's classed as a 'chess match' when it involves European's it's classed as 'boring'.

I enjoyed last nights fight. It wasn't action packed, but it was very engrossing and kept me glued for the duration.

And not many Brit's believed Haye could win. We hoped he could win. It's a big difference. That's why I love our sporting climate....win or lose, we stick by our nations sports stars. Some people call that passion. Sadly American boxing lacks it.

I always think they are negative about every fighter on HBO.

              Seriously, who do they like?

I personally hate Larry Merchant. He's a terrible old ****er.

And who is the young American heavyweight?....give up on that for a while.

I think Robert Helenius is probably a threat to the bros.

                    But I'm reaching.
