Haye never believed he could win

His only intention was to show up and collect a paycheck. This guy lambasted Audley for his non performance and he does the exact same thing. Wlad was right all along that Haye's mouth and not his achievements got him this fight. Haye is at best a lower top 10 hw and this hw era is terrible.

True. He did not seem very disapointed in his post fight comments but rather content with his performance. The toe excuse is pretty disgusting, but that might as well be David Haye's middle name. Haye has very good abilities but no will, no gusto.

I really never understood why people made him out to be so exciting. He's average at best in a weak hw division, and these days that's good enough for a belt. The only fight I've seen Haye in that had some excitement was against Mormek. Besides that fight he's pretty dull. The irony is Haye criticized the Klits for being boring.

I always thought that Haye did right by hyping up the fight and getting as much money as possible, it was win-win for him. Yeah, he lost in the ring, but to be honest the guy was not ******, he knew that it was very hard to beat Wladimir. He tried to get as much money as possible and whether he was the winner or not, he was going to get a lot more money than he could've get in any other fight.

I was expecting him to do a lot better though, I thought he was going to take at least some risks to try to win the fight, but well in the end we all saw what he did.

That's partly what I was saying, he's reasonably athletic and has some physical gifts, but doesn't have the intelligence, strategy, heart or guts to be a major force against good fighters like the Klitschkos.

Haye in my opinion is still the best HW behind the Klitsckho's, and is a very good one at that. Styles make fights, and two defensive guys are never going to put on a spectacle.

The truth is, the Klitschko's are very good athletes, have good skills, and have massive size and reach advantages to boot. Haye was too small to cope with that. However, he should have been more aggressive and was capable of giving a little bit more.

All credit to Klitschko. He is the best HW of his era. But Haye didn't disgrace himself either. If he wasnt planning to retire, I think he could fight for another 5 years at the top of the HW division.

Disgrace is a strong word. One that better discribes his pre fight antics. But he doesn't exactally have anything to be proud of after that showing. He didn't fight to win, he landed a couple nice right hands but did nothing after that. They where isolated and he backpeddled the whole night.

Both just showed up for a payday. Forget all the bull**** hype in boxing about ''having beef, wanted to knock you out, hate your guts''

It's like WWE man, behind the scenes they're laughing their ass off. They show up and do minimum efforts. Haye got the 50-50 split and Wlad got the WBO belt..
