So I was watching the Floyd Mayweather vs Victor Ortiz press conference couple days ago, and it had me thinking about the politics in boxing. People generally think "Ok, Floyd is the villain, and Manny is the good guy and Floyd is ducking and dodging." But the truth is, Bob Arum is the real villain. Don King, Bob Arum, they are all the same. All they see is green. There has to be a bad guy and there has to be a good guy. That is what he is trying to sell. It makes good story, which in turn, makes money. So Bob Arum will do whatever it takes to keep Floyd a bad guy. He even made something so menial and irrelevant as a random blood and urine test into a big deal. What I mean by this is...Is this the first time that a random blood test was issued in the sport of boxing?? Nope, Mike Tyson made Evander Holyfield take the same test. So no, this is not the first time this test has been issued. But I will say that this is the first time that this test has been looked down upon. Why?? Because Floyd is the one demanding it?? Is this blood test really a bad thing for the sport of boxing?? Last time I checked, during the negotiations, Manny's side demanded an outrageous demand of $10 million for every lb Floyd was overweight, which Floyd agreed to. So why can't Manny take out a teaspoon of blood? Are the *******s out there saying that taking the drug test is more outrageous than paying 10 million dollars/lb?? I don't understand. Didn't Pacquiao say that he was scared of needles, yet he has tattoos all over his body?? Yet, the *******s, for some reason, choose to ignore this fact. Why?? Now I'm not saying Pacquiao is on steroids or anything. I don't know if he is or isn't. I don't know, I'm just reasonable like that. What I am saying is, when you're at the level that Floyd and Manny is at, then you have a lot to lose. So I don't blame Floyd for wanting to do this random blood test. To an average person, what Manny Pacquiao is doing in boxing is unusual. The *******s seem to think that what Pacquiao is doing is perfectly normal, and they ask no question and just nod their head and agree with what they see. So back to Bob Arum. With everything I said, I'm not saying Pacquiao is in the wrong here either. With the way he grew up, I don't expect him to understand much about the business side of boxing. For Bob Arum, Pacquiao is just a money making machine. I don't think Bob Arum wanted that fight to happen 2 or 3 years ago. From what I've heard, the estimated ppv buys doubled or almost tripled within the 3 years. So it's understandable. What I'm trying to say here is, I don't believe that Floyd or Manny is ducking each other. There are no bad guy between these two. Bob Arum is ducking this fight, until the money is at their maximum potential.
Who is the Bad guy?? Manny? Floyd?? Neither. Bob Arum

Well, that's the problem. That was never a fact. Pacquiao never said he was afraid of needles. Bob Arum did. It's the same thing when people say that Floyd wanted $100 million to fight Pacquiao when it was just his uncle Roger (and once again, Bob Arum) who said it not Floyd himself. So I was watching the Floyd Mayweather vs Victor Ortiz press conference couple days ago, and it had me thinking about the politics in boxing. And Floyd doesn't love the green? Think about it, the guy has pulled off easy fight, after easy fight, handpicked opponents, for massive purses, and makes a hell of a lot more than Arum. They are both as bad as each other. His manager Al Haymon has a reputation for matching his fighters up very carefully and it is has been claimed by an insider he was behind the Margarito fight not happening, advising Floyd to avoid him as he was too much for him. If Floyd goes on to fight Khan, Guerrero and Alvarez then the guy is in cahoots with Golden Boy to make as much as they can off each other, regardless of Arum and PacLast edited by Fighting Pride; 07-02-2011, 09:28 PM.Comment

Easy fight? I thought Baldomir was an easy fight, but he was the champ at the time. So of course, he's going to fight the champ. Corrales? Zab?? Floyd was the underdog in those fight. Oscar?? Who he fought at a higher weight?? Ricky Hatton who was undefeated?? JMM who was ranked, 2 or 3 in the p4p list at the time I believe. Then Shane Mosley who was also ranked...2 or 3 and was coming off a major win against Margarito. And you're discrediting Floyd for not fighting a cheater (Margarito)?? When he fought the guy who demolished this cheater right after his win??And Floyd doesn't love the green? talking about post De La Hoya and since Pac exploded at welter. Arum handled his career up to the Zab fight and put him straight in some tough challenges, Hernandez early on, Corrales, Castillo first fight at 135..Easy fight? easy fights being useless fights Marquez and Ortiz, 2 of his past 3, when everyone's been calling for Pac-May.Comment

So the Marquez fight is useless for Mayweather, but its not useless for Pacquiao?? Pacquiao is doing the same thing right now. I believe that Floyd challenging Ortiz is a much better match up than...Pacquiao fighting Mosley. Or even Margarito. And yes, everyone was calling for May vs Pac. I made a point in the post above. Mayweather agreed to Pac's outrageous demands. Now Pac's side should agree to Mayweather's not so outrageous demand.talking about post De La Hoya and since Pac exploded at welter. Who is the bad guy?
Floydie is facing multiple Court cases,
In NY Presscon, he is supposed to promote his fight with Ortiz, but then he started to lambast Pacman and Arum WITHOUT showing any evidences to support his allegations. Floydie has to mentioned Pacman & Arum to promote his fight with Ortiz! So who needs who???
In the past, Pacman has already agreed on this random blood testing, but why Floydie and his loyalist fans keep on throwing to Pacman this issue?
What's wrong with you guys?Comment
