A broken pinky toe is no excuse at all. If it was his big toe then fair enough, but a pinky toe. It wouldn't have hurt that bas when he did it let alone 3 weeks later and with an injection on fight night. It's not as integral to balance as the other toes and he wouldn't have even been able to feel it on the night.
