Dawson is a cautious boxer. It may seem like he has a low-workrate and that he doesn't care, but the truth is Dawson tends to cruise when he's in control of a fight.

But when Dawson needs to win, he will turn it on, and there is nothing Hopkins can do to beat him. He obviously wasn't motivated against Pacsal because of personal issues and a long lay-off, but he has every reason to be motivated against Hopkins.

You're forgetting that Hopkins doesn't have the work-rate to bother Dawson, and Dawson's speed isn't something that Hopkins can easily avoid.

Dawson is an all around fundamentally sound boxer like Hopkins, except he's younger, southpaw, 6'3, and FASTER.

I agree with him 100%, just like the second Glen Johnson fight, I think Dawson style will make Hopkins look his age, he will be TOO QUICK AND TOO SLICK

steward needs to drill into chad's head from the start to light b-hops azz from the get go and keep that pressure on,he can't allow hop to control the fight.depends also on how motivated Bernard will be since his last fight was a milestone.if Chad doesn't start off quick and decides to keep his foot off the gas pedal like I think he will, once that happens it's a wrap for Chad, hop will be too smart to let him get back in the fight. Rite now I see a UD for nard IF he keeps being motivated knowing it's not a "milestone" fight.

Depends. He fights like he did against Pascal then it's a BHop home run.

Dawson can pick it up when he wants to and is a better boxer and really a better fighter over all than Pascal, he just had a bad night against him.

I think he will be too good and not make enough mistakes for B-hop to capitalize on like Pascal does.

When Chad Dawson finally picked up the pace in the 10th-11th round, Jean Pascal did not know what to do. So I don't know what attempts you're talking about. Dawson stunned Pascal several times.

Dawson admitted to having the wrong gameplan. His gameplan was to pick it up when Pascal gets tired. Pascal got tired too late. If they ever have a rematch, i'm sure Dawson won't make the same mistake as the first fight.

Against Hopkins, it will be a slow paced fight, which will favor the younger, faster Chad Dawson. If it's a fast paced fight, it will still favor Dawson. It won't be about Hopkins being too old, Dawson's style is just all wrong for Hopkins.
