You sir, are absoloutely wrong. Juan Diaz did call out Rios a few times but only to retire shortly after. You probably didn't get the memo but it did happen... Get off of Soto's nutsack! The guy's a mediocre fighter. I'll even say that he's a good fighter. But he's no where near the five big dogs of Mexico (of recent times, ofcourse): JCC, RL, EM, MAB, and JMM!!!Soto is keeping things quiet and trains and lives in Mexico, which is why he hardly conducts interviews.
And this is the reason why big mouths like Rios, Anthony Peterson, etc. have all talked "smack" on Soto and falsely accused Soto of avoiding them, when in reality, is was Peterson that ducked Soto, and its been over a year, and Peterson has said nothing about wanting to get his shot at Soto's WBC title.
Rios wanted to fight Soto, in Feb 2011, just 2 months after Soto wentg 12 round with Antillon in Dec. 2010.
and because Soto said that he wont fight Rios in February, but he'll fight Rios later this year, all the Rios fans are quick to call out "ducking" when Soto was just done fighting 2 months early.
Yet no one calls Brandon Rios a chicken and ducker, for Rios refusing to fight Juan Diaz, whom has called out Rios many times.

You do realize that you've contradicted yourself.
you say that Im wrong about Diaz calling out Rios, but then you agree that he did.
Juan Diaz retired after Rios ducked him and made it clear that he (Rios) wont fight Juan Diaz.
JCC is retired.
EM, MAB and JMM all avoided Soto since 2007, and Pacman avoided Soto since 2006, because they're smart enough to know that Soto is one tough S.O.B., and has been faking his past performances and been "playing possum" to try to lure the big names to fight him, since he's so dangerous.
The only one that has been fooled by Soto's "mediocre" performances is Rios, cause Rios is young and not snart enough to know that Soto's has purposely been faking hisn performances in his last 8-10 fights.
Soto couldve KO'd Sasaki, Monterrosa, David Diaz, Jesus Chavez, Ricardo Dominguez all in the FIRST ROUND had he wanted to, but he would be more avoided than he already is.
JCC, EM, MAB, JMM, Pac were never avoided the way Soto has been.
Soto won the 130lbs VACANT title cause Pac was too scared to defend it against his then mando-Soto.
Soto then moved up to 135lbs and wanted to fight Valero for that title, but Valero was to scared to defend it against Soto, so Valero vacated it (just like Pac vacated his 130lbs title tp avoid defending it against Soto), to avoid defending it against Soto.
What Soto has done in those divisions is unlike anything JCC, EM, MAB, JMM, Pac and any other fighter, has ever done.
Soto has scared off the champions (pac, valero) into abandoning their titles to avoid defending it against Soto.
and yet, you clowns blame and hate on Soto for fighting bums like Gamiel Diaz, David Diaz, all because the champions-Pacman, and Valero were too damm scared to defend their titles against Soto, so they vacated them titles to leave Soto to fight for those vacant titles.

Soto is moving to 140lbs, cause he doesnt want to fight Antonio DeMarco, because that's his cousin.
Soto has said since early last year, that he will never fight his cousin, and that he'll be moving up to 140lbs so that he can try to become the 1st Mexican to win a 4th divisional world title.
Soto had said this long before Brandon Rios had won his world title.
It has nothing to do with Rios, it has to do with 2 things:
1.) Soto wont fight his mandatory-his couisin, Demarco
2.) Soto has been wanting to get that 4th world title at 140lbs since last year.
Rios can easily move to 140lbs.
rios is always stepping in the ring weighing in 155lbs, so 140lbs is no big deal.
Soto has been wanting to fight the legends: Morales, Barrera, etc, since 2008.
Rios is NOT a legend, and does very little to Soto's career at this point, cause Soto would KO Rios, and then Soto wont get the big fights he's been wanting for years.Comment
