I just watched a couple of Vic's interviews on Youtube. It seems that he's a little unsure of himself. It's understandable. Ortiz is young, and he had a crummy upbringing. It appears that he's very conscious about his future. He knows he's got a bright, lucrative career within his grasp. That might be intimidating for a lot of people. Looks like Victor's no exception. His insecurity might be driving him to be unintentionally fake. I don't get the impression that he's trying to impress anyone; he's just trying to fit in with what he thinks is expected of him.

i think, at this point, he is unsure and not comfortable with his current status... the kid was considered the next golden boy, then choked... im sure his mind is a mess and doesnt have the mental maturity to just relax... he just seems wound up & uncomfortable. plus, imagine all the people talking in his ear???

he is everywhere... he seems confident, scared, ****y, humble, professional, street, etc.... this kid is all of that. it reminds me of when pascal was trying to act out for b-hop... it just seemed out of character.

i cant imagine how ortiz will react once floyd turns it up on 24/7.

He's going out of character to sell this fight as much as possible. Ortiz realizes this is going to be his biggest payday and exposure, so he's maximizing his opportunity.
