If you keep on downgrading Ortiz, then who's gonna watch The Floydie-Ortiz fight in PPV, if fans got convinced that Ortiz is a sure loser?

Mayweather fans lack leadership in life, IQ'S above 70 and only look up to their cult leader Floyd

Let Vic do what he gotta do. From what I recall Lamply said Ortiz was talking some vintage Mike Tysonesque type trash before the Berto fight and that was his best performance to date. What ever brings the best out him.

He feels tons of mexicans behind his back and trying to be tough in front of everyone. beating overrated BErto, sure got his ego..higher than any other boxer has. Floyd's team should of brought MAidana, Victor's daddy.

mark my words, Ortiz is nothing special, he quit against maidana once, he will lose to him again. lack of mental strength, getting nervous and show off, ala David Haye. at least HAye unified CW.

cant wait till some1 KOs this hero.

Ortiz is doing his best to help sell the fight as best he knows. Can't knock the kid. He's basking in the limelight at the moment. He's just a good natured kid who deserves to shine after that last performance.

Cut him some slack. He's a live opponent facing a guy who's been away from the game for a while.

The only Face off I care about is the HBO one. These are always overhyped and mostly staged.

When the going gets tough, Ortiz folds under pressure.

I hardly think of Berto as an overhyped bum. I DO however, agree with you on the tape of the Peterson fight. Peterson dug deep while Ortiz slacked off. I think he knows now that in order to win, you have to pour it on. I believed that was a lesson learned for him. Floyd Mayweather, on the other hand, is Lamont Peterson multiplied by everything that makes up the molecules of the best fighter of this era. He may face a rough going early, but Mayweather is way more advanced than Peterson could ever be. It's exciting to see the drama. Ortiz must've had a heart to heart with Floyd, where Floyd schooled the young champion to the keys to success. There's probably a profound amount of respect these 2 fighters have for each other, and they know this is about selling tickets. Who knows? I know come Sept. 17th, they had better be going for the kill. Not doing a 'Pacquiao-Mosley', touching gloves and hugging. Floyd showed he's not there to touch gloves with you. He wants him gloves to touch your face. Let's not forget, we DID pay for a FIGHT right?

You got it completely wrong. Ortiz feels blessed with the opportunity and is doing is best to be on par with Floyd in hyping up the fight. It's so staged, deep down he feels like a little boy. Probably a fan too.
