What can De La Hoya possibly do to beat Taylor and Williams?

Assuming the fight happens at 160, Taylor can't make 154, so it would have to be 160. No way De La Hoya beats Jermain Taylor at 160. DLH looked like crap at 160 in both of his fights there. What makes you think he would all of sudden look good against Jermain Taylor? The former Middleweight Champion, who dethroned Bernard Hopkins, who hadn't lost since 1993 before that. I know styles make fights, and Taylor beating Hopkins, and Hopkins beating Hoya, doesn't mean Taylor would beat Hoya. It's just, DLH does not look good at 160, period. He is a 154 fighter.

Williams could fight like he's 3 feet tall. Williams style is all wrong for De La Hoya.

Let's not forget, and again I know styles make fights, but let's not forget Paul Williams beat prime Antonio Margarito...Who DLH avoided, to fight Manny Pacquiao in 2008. That is relevant because although DLH is a better boxer than Margarito, Williams showed in that fight that he 'had' a iron chin and just comes forward throwing lots of punches. Could DLH have handle that? I don't think so.

But that's the 2007 DLH. I would easily pick prime DLH over current Williams.

Floyd being the best defensive fighter since Pernell should just sit in the pocket and poshot...then pour it on in the later rounds when Victor might deviate from the plan....

      Opinions?

when u put it into perspective floyd has'nt fought to many live 1st ballot hall of famers for that fact nor have most of the other top fighters. the kid talks a big game but doesnt put up. to call urself the best and compare yourself to the legends like ray robinson is just ridiculous ( He defeated other Hall of Fame fighters such as Jake LaMotta, Carmen Basilio, Gene Fullmer, Carl 'Bobo' Olson, Henry Armstrong, Rocky Graziano and Kid Gavilan)

regardless of floyds talent he never really has challenged his self by fighting the best of his time.(not talking about pac)

vic will be one of his toughest due to the fact that the kid is big and hungry and the shoulder roll doesnt work as effectively against southpaws.

I'm with you. I am hyped up for this fight mainly because I want Ortiz to win so bad but you just gotta remember how great Floyd is defensively, he is just the best I have ever seen he's a phenom.

Oscar was a very tough fight and that was at 154 and Floyd was the much smaller man.

Corrales and Mosley were also guys I thought would give Floyd more problems and he made those guys like amateur.

Floyd is just amazing, but I hope that Ortiz just keeps pressuring and landing big shots to break him down and score a KO.

You're a scrub dude. Just go back to threads where you can swing from Manny's testicles to his ********, where you enjoy spending time and are in your element. You don't know anything about boxing you are just a pathetic excuse of a *******. Go and get excited for Pac/Marquez - where Pacquiao will be picking on another senior citizen. If you don't like Floyd, stay out of threads pertaining to him, you loser.

If anyone says they saw floyd doing that to corrales (rip) then they are ****ing lying. That was an awesome performance. Only Tyson KO'ing Spinks was more impressive to me.

                  sounds like that guy.
I think that Judah was Floyd's biggest threat to date. Arguably it could have been Castillo.
