Deontay is the best American heavyweight since Tye Fields.

Just like Tye, he's even taller than Wladimir Klitschko!

BELIEVE in this heavyweight messiah - he will be the GOAT!!!

he has a LONG WAY TO GO before he is ready to contend and I am not talking about "A FEW MORE FIGHTS, I would say he is A FEW YEARS AWAY

but at the same time it is nothing wrong with working your way up the OLD FASHION way by fighting in small gyms against fat out of shape BUMS, but eventually you have to step up the competition and at least fight guys who are in just as good of shape as you are and not some FAT CLUB BOUNCE/OFF DUTY SECURITY GUARD

It isn't possible to rate him yet. He needs some fights, not more heavy bag sessions.

What kind of name is Deontay? These hood **** give their kids the dumbest names, lets take a name and butcher it and add a few apostrophes and other crap because "he is unique"

I see he has an Amateur Record which is better than 90% of the rest of the US HW bums out there.

Its not about his skill or talent its all about how he is in the head and if he is any smart.

He probably has the physical talent but lets see if he is emotionally there.

Anyone know how he was raised? Poor/Rich , City/Small Town? Has a mother and father who raised him? Does he have any kids? Married?

Someone write a bio on this dude.

          Emotional Game > Physical game

Wilder has to be moved slow. He took up boxing late and as an amateur he didn't have too many fights. I heard he was pretty much forced to turn pro to take care of his family.

He's a work in progress. If he learns how to use his jab and can pack on like 15 pound of muscle he'll be fine. Most HW's don'y really hit their prime till their like 28 so I expect him to be moved slowly for the next couple years.

Here's a bit of info on Wilder before he turned pro. I think this was written right before the '08 Olympics.
