David Haye has never fought in front of a really big crowd before

BTW, DET IRONSIDE;
Of course Steward will talk up Haye...to talk up this fight.
He also said Haye is "scared", just the other day. Do scared guys also make the finest opposition?
Take these statements with a grain of salt and use your own faculties of judgement, sheeesh.

Nah Tunney, Haye may not like being a boxer but he clearly loves being a celebrity and in front of the crowd and cameras. After he gets demolished Saturday I bet he will do well with his acting career.Comment

A valid question and an answer we won't find out until Saturday. Even an all time great, Sugar Ray Leonard was bothered by a very large crowd when he fought in Montreal versus Roberto Duran. Sugar Ray still believes that the moment was a bit too much and is the reason why he lost that fight(plus fighting the wrong fight). SRL went on to completely blow the flood gates off Duran in New Orleans in the rematch. We'll just have to wait and see about Haye.Comment

I wasn't there, but I remember watching that night and thinking the crowd was much livelier than usual for a Klitschko fight.
Difference being, it was an actual paying-public crowd in a football stadium as opposed to the usual set of dignitaries and gentlepersons in the usual polite setting.
The fact that Wlad was fighting Chagaev instead of the guy they'd wanted to see maimed could possibly account for any relative mutedness, but I definitely noticed an increase in the level of excitement and noise coming from the crowd overall.Comment

This is the most relevant post. David Haye has been building this stage to act out his fight plan that he and Booth have been building, whatever that is.
As much as I hate Booth the man has proven he has good knowledge of the fight game so far. Whether that shows in the Imtech on Saturday is another deal, it IS an intimidating arena to fight in and German crowds are NOT quiet, I've been to Hamburg and been in the smaller stadium on the other end of the city, the Millentor and THOSE guys love to make noise and those guys tell me many of them will be backing Haye.
Iys going to be a great fight because I don't see Haye freezing in the spotlight. He loves it. He loves to get Wlad angry. It makes Wlad uncomfortable and twitchy. Wlad doesn't like to lose his temper on fightnight. He likes to be in the driving seat and its Haye's pace that will knock him around and make him twitchy.
Then again a twitchy Wlad can always mean a big right and a ten count for Haye on the canvas.
And this is St Pauli fans at the Imtech:
