If he fights legit opponents, great if not boxing doesn't miss a beat.

Boxing was still great when he retired after Hatton. We had awesome fights. Boxing didn't miss Floyd at all. Only his fan base did, but boxing as a whole didn't.

Him gone and Pac fighting whack ass opponents then we can talk. But, really when both are gone. Someone else will find someone else to carry the tourche, it always does. And, it won't miss a beat.

Without floyd the focus was on the low quality of fights on ppv and cable. WIthout floyd MMA was taking over and was passing boxing. I egt what you are saying, floyd retires the sport doesn't end.

But without floyd there the discussion is about everything but the fighters.

The crossover between MMA fans and boxing fans is a very small dynamic. Most post-TUF MMA fans are a bunch of fat kids wearing Tapout t-shirts trying to like like badasses.

After Pacquiao and Mayweather are gone, there's going to be someone to take their spot. There always is in every era, boxing will never die.

It's waiting for "that someone" that is gonna kill boxing. For example, the Punisher,a man that fights everyone,is exciting & ducked none gets hated on.Martinez gets hated by Pacman & Floyd fans, but Pac & Floyd themselves only fight when they are more than likely to win,but their fanbases are the largest.I hope no one follows in their footsteps otherwise boxing is indeed dead.No 1 or 2 fighters are bigger than the sport itself.
