How can only an in-shape Toney have a chance against Taylor you say when Nunn was boxing Toney's ears off, Eubank was expected to go and achieve more than Toney, and the McCallum of 89/90 certainly would of beaten Toney.

Oh yeah....on the issue of overrated fighters.

I think Jermaine Taylor is about the most overrated fighter you will find in boxing.

      Who has he beat?

Marquez who was boxing when Taylor was in Kindergarten?

William Joppy who was far from his prime?

      A gift decision over Hopkins?

      Sorry. Taylor = Overrated.

McCallum in his prime would have murdered Taylor.

      So would Benn and Eubank.

Toney was the best boxer of that era, no ifs & buts about it. If Toney trained well, he would've never lost to anyone. McCallum, Benn, Eubank or Nunn would've not beaten an in shape Toney. No one could've hurt Toney period. Nunn was winning the fight, but Toney knocked him out.

I believe McCallum, McClellan, Benn, Eubank, Jones Jr and Nunn all could of beaten Toney if they were at their best, didn't you see him against Tiberi and Wolfe?

I guess Bitchkins, Joppy & Marquez for the young Taylor isn't bad. Taylor was the first man to put Marquez down in his career, no one else did it.The slow McCallum would've never had a chance against Taylor. Taylor would've jabbed him & would've TKO McCallum in the later rounds. But you also think Wlad has good chin. Oh well!

Will he beat McCallum like 2 times, the first fight was a gift draw for McCallum, Toney was countering McCallum all night. I don't think any of those guys would've beaten Toney, if Toney was in shape. The Toney that lost to Jones would've been beaten by any of the guys you've mentioned. He needed to lose alot of weight before the fight, also he was going through some personal problems at the time he fought Jones. Jones never give Toney or Bitchkins any rematch.
