I'm an American and my only knowledge of Adam Booth comes from Haye, and just recently with George Groves (I watched 2 episodes of the Sky hype program that was like 24/7 on YouTube, then watched the fight on Epix), but I kinda like the guy. His confidence seems genuine. And I was really impressed with the strategy he employed against Degale. From what I knew about Groves he was more of a come forward ****er. Even if you thought Degale won, you'd have to admit the change in style definitely left Degale confused and allowed Groves to build up points. I like trainers who aren't afraid to ask their fighter to do something new if they think it will benefit them against a certain opponent.
If Haye manages to win Saturday (a big if) I'd say Booth manages to get an honorable mention for trainer of the year. Not saying he'd win, but he'd be one of the 10 trainers or so mentioned on espn.com and others.
why dont ppl like booth? are ppl really so pathetic they let their hate for haye carry on to his trainer?
adam is a good trainer, not great but not bad either and he deserves props for what hes done with david haye. he might still be rough around the edges, but hes achieved a great deal regardless and alot of it is thanks to booth. ppl might say he got by on hayes talent, but i was watching haye vs fragomeni just a few days ago and haye improved so much since then. he was really just a physical specimen back then with very few skills. hes no bernard hopkins right now either but hes got some skills no doubt, especially compared to the current crop of heavyweights.
