Comments Thread For: Emanuel Steward: David Haye is Scared To Death!

Emanuel Steward, trainer for WBO/IBO/IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko, is not impressed with David Haye's pre-fight intimidation tactics. Over the last week, the war of words has reached a new critical level between Haye and Klitschko. Steward believes Haye is doing a lot of talking because the British fighter is actually very afraid. Klitschko and Haye will collide this coming Saturday in a stadium located in Hamburg, Germany.

yeah excessive trash talking is usually a symptom of bad confidence. but then again wlad is also not iron mike, aka not a figure one would be afraid of. still wlad usually delivers in the ring and we will see what haye can deliver.

Its easy to say he's trash talking because he's scared, but he always does it, so was he also scared of fraudley and enzo mac?

Its not the first time haye is afraid accusations have been thrown at haye. ANd haye has said if that is what you need to think to feel good about yourself continue to think hes scared.

All boxers are scared, but only usually admit it after retirement.

Joe calzaghe self admitted in his book was fearful of Jeff Lacy and look what happened there. It is important from now until the weigh in/fight that Haye relaxes and gets in a state of calm, he just needs to trust his ability...that will make the difference in his confidence, his team around him will be important this week. He will doubt himself but needs to just block everything out and concentrate on his strategy and trust himself, wlad has been there and done it so he looks fine to me, maybe a little too fired up if your going to be picky.

The best friend of a fighter is a guy named "Frankie Fear"

            Carry on.

Oh and at one time Emanuel said he "loved" Haye's decapitated heads t shirt; in between mouthfuls of Haye's ****.

            GTFO!

            Haye badmouths everyone.

They said HE was scared to death back in 1964 because of his trash talk and erratic behaviour at the weigh in, but when they met mid-ring for the ref's instructions Cassius Marcellus Clay said to Liston, "Got you now, sucker." And so it proved.

He didn't say he was, if you interprit his post what he is saying is that it's what happens inside the ropes that matters.
