Can someone explain to me how a Haye victory is good for HW boxing?

Let's say he somehow pulls it off. Heck, let's even say he destroys Wlad in 5 exciting, amazing rounds to the point where he looks better than Lennox Lewis in his prime (just saying, don't take that seriously). Then what? He's retiring a month after Vitali fights Adamek, so that fight is out of the question. So now the top HW champion has been knocked out, and the only guy above him is retired. That just leaves us Vitali, who is getting up there in age fighting a bunch of bums the WBC forces upon him.

Wlad may not be the most exciting fighter in the world, but aside from maybe *******, none of the top fighters are. So if Haye won, we'd be left without a true HW champion, and no excitement on top of that. The best fight to be made would be a *******-Vitali rematch if ******* rebounds. But I can't see him doing much better.

I'm not angry with Haye for retiring. I mean a promise is a promise. But the division is better off with him losing. In fact, if this fight is exciting and he loses, that's a huge step for the division because Wlad's stock would grow.

Its good for a short period cos we'll almost certainly get Haye vs Vitali and all the build up/drama that would come along with that story.

But in the long run, who knows? I have a feeling Haye is playing the Mayweather game and will come back when the offers come flooding in.

Its not, everything about David Haye is an inconsisten pipe dream. He is like Bush administration, any time you actually pay attention to what he or his team says and then think it through you just wanna slap them for thinking you are such an idiot to buy these lies.

Because it sets up a potential huge undisputed HW title fight between Haye and Vitali. Wlad and Vitali will never fight each other. If Wlad wins what and when is the next HW mega fight? The HW division will likely go back into obscurity.

Unless Vitali breaks his commitment and fights Haye instead of Adamek, its not possible. And Haye said his reason behind retiring is a promise he made to somebody important to him, so I can't see him breaking it.

Vitali has a commitment to fight Adamek in September, which is a month before Haye retires. It doesn't give him enough time, unless he takes it on REALLY short notice.

In the short term it would work bcse the possibility of a Haye v Viti fight older brother avenging youngers defeat at trash-talking loud-mouth.

If Haye wins it will shake up the heavy weight division. More fighters will feel like they have a chance at winning the title, do to the fact that Haye is a smaller Heavyweight. We will have more activity in the Heavyweight division which will attract more attention, more media coverge, more young Americans will be inspired to get there hands on the heavyweight Title vs football and basketball. Kilitsckos keeping it in germany is no good for the sport. We need Heavyweight title fights in NY,and Las vegas where they belong.

That's very thoughtful and inspiring but how is Haye going to make americans give up football and basketball(e.g.)millions of $.

A bit of wishful thinking my man but well presented.
