I'm shocked. I made a thread in the Hispanic Lounge quite a while ago asking if any of them knew if this guy was going to turn pro. I haven't heard this guys name mentioned anywhere and i just realized he has gone pro and is 5-0.

I remember him from the 2007 World Championships where he had a great tournement but then met Korobov in the Finals and got outclassed. Prior to the finals though Blanco beat

Vijender Kumar (Olympic & 09 World Championships Bronze)
Sutherland (Olympics Bronze)
Artayev (Olympic Gold & Val Barker Trophy, 2 Bronze at Worlds)

That is one hell of a performance. Anyways this guy is very talented and seems to be about 6'0/6'1 which is very tall for JMW. I wouldn't be suprised to see him at MW eventually. I haven't seen Blanco's name mentioned anywhere and he is a very exciting prospect that shouldn't be flying under the radar.

(Keep in mind that Artayev was awarded the Val Barker for most outstanding boxer at the 2004 Olympics and won Gold. He's a hell of a fighter himself)
