This is exactly why you can't take anything ESPN says about boxing seriously.

In fact, ESPN is just a general forum to talk about anything sports-related, but no real in-depth knowledge.

If you want to see intelligent stuff about the NBA, head on over to NBATV. Likewise for any other sports, there are magazines that cater to a specific group of people.

ESPN is just a personified mainstream opinion by the general public, which is why you had ESPN guys calling Mayweather a coward. GTFO! What the hell do you know about boxing? As I've said before, if you tell them to mention three boxers, the only guys they'll mention: 1. Ali 2. Tyson 3. Oscar de la Hoya/Ray Leonard

Pfffft...those ESPN guys should stick to college basketball.

smh at the ******ity that comes from the ignorant hosts of this show.
The sad thing is, some of these dudes in here swear by this network. That's why boxing is in the shape its in, people who don't follow the sport spend most of their time ****t!ng on it.

They blew it. Not to mention that the trash talk and the hate has been great
The HW division ain't bad at all if you're not an American. Lots of interesting fights coming up. But not one of them features an American.

These PTI guys are just anti-Euro pinheads.

You're absolutely right about ESPN being a very poor outlet, not just on boxing, but on nearly all sports. About 10 years ago, I was a huge fan of the station but as of late rarely if ever turn it on. The times I watch it are for some highlights and scores but I'd never use ESPN as a source for any thing sports related any longer. You can certainly tell that ESPN has downgraded the people that work for the network and main focus is on mainstream fans. If you look at the college football program ESPN had, that was a pretty insightful broadcast but over the last few years has fallen on extreme bias.

Not only is ESPN's main "coverage" of sports been putrid but their tv shows are pretty bad. Shows like PTI and Around the Horn(which 8 years ago were good) are very bad(especially PTI that is headed by two aging idiots that don't cover much sports for their newspaper(washington post) any longer. Yes, they still write but that is rare and when they do, since they are pampered they are paid to write about the huge sports). The only shows I like on ESPN are Outside the Lines and the Sports Reporters. Both shows have one thing in common, sports depth.

Haye was a cruiserweight champ and now he is a heavyweight champ who so happens to have beaten the biggest champ in history.

People knew Evander when he was a cruiserweight, so why not Haye. Just because your ignorant and dont know haye dont mean he cant beat Wlad. If Evandder can beat the best heavies why cant Haye? Of course Haye has everything to prove, but give him the chance.

Isn't ESPN meant to be a sports broadcaster.

Shameful how their presenters know less about boxing than a casual fan.

That isn't true at all. Haye/Wlad and Vitali/Adamek are good fights because the best are fighting the best but that hasn't happened in a long time and two fights don't make up for the lack of talent in that division. The HW division is not good at all.
