Alvarez & Co Are Cherry Picking Underzied Fighters & Fighters In There Late 30's!

(Co meaning his team & GBP)

And am getting of sick it. And can we stop saying he is allowed to get away with it because he is 20. Big deal, Wilfredo Benitez was 17 and was fighting ALL TIME GREAT Antonio Cervantes.

He's WBC Champion, and when you have a title like this you have to fight top fighters.

He won the belt from a Welterweight who'd beeen beat by journyman and wasn't even a top 10 at Welterweight, but yet was fighting for the WBC 154lb title.

Ryan Rhodes was 34, and again has suffered previous defeats in WBU title fights and already been beat by Lee Blundell. He also come to survive.

Baldomir & N'dou were beyond shot and nearing 40.

Now Alvarez looks like he is gonna fighter the beyond shot Mayorga who hasn't beat a top contender in over 5 years or the undersized Welterweight Alfonso Gomez.

And this trend of fighting undersized fighters or fighters washed up in there 30's continue.

Alvarez should be fighting prime natural Jr Middleweights who are in there prime and aint in there late 30's and undersized. Like.....

-Vanes Martirosyan (WBC #1 Contender) 25 years old
    -Pawel Wolak
    -Austin Trout
    -Erislandy Lara
    -Alfredo Angullo

I find it very interesting that these fighters are in there prime and in there 20's and yet can't seem to get fights with Alvarez.....

    Utter Bull ****!

How come you aren't harping on Vanes, Pawel, Trout, Lara, or Angulo for not fighting each other? They haven't exactly been in there with any real top tier guys either.

Rhodes was ranked #4 in the world at 154, only behind Cotto, Cintron & Angulo, so say what you want about him but he worked his way up to that position and he was viewed as a very big test for the young man and many people outright picked Rhodes to defeat Canelo. Rhodes ended up fighting a poor fight, but that is besides the point entirely as Rhodes was considered a big step up and a legit challenge, and Canelo won with ease.

Canelo is on the right path. Sure, the vacant belt he won was silly, but that's the WBC for you, they hand them out like flyers, don't blame the redhead for the WBC's corruption.

Canelo is on the right path and his opponents are getting better.

Guys like N'dou and Baldomir also served their purpose very well. Canelo was 19 years old and one of the ingredients for building a fighter is to put him in the ring with veterans of the game that know alot and have seen it all and will go rounds. That's great experience for a young fighter.

I fully expect to see Canelo keep selecting better opponents. Maybe Vanes or someone like that will be next.
