Most of today's best boxers are the wrong side of 30: Pacquaio is 32, Mayweather is 33, Hopkins is 46, the Klitschko's are 35 and 39, Marquez is 37 and Martinez is 36. The pound for pound top 10 lists are all dominated by fighters over the age of 30. So I decided to make a revised pound-for-pound list, excluding all those over the age of 30:
.Nonito Donaire, aged 28, former IBF Flyweight champion, current WBC and WBO Bantamweight champion, 26-1 record.
.Tim Bradley, aged 27, current WBC and WBO Light- Welterweight champion, 27-0
.Giovani Segura, aged 28, former WBA and WBO Light-Flyweight champion, 28-1-1
.Robert Guerrero, aged 28, former IBF Featherweight and Super Featherweight champion, 29-1-1
.Andre Ward, aged 27, current WBA Super-Middleweight champion, 24-0
.Amir Kahn, aged 24, current WBA light-Welterweight champion, 25-1
.Paul Williams, aged 29, former x2 WBO Welterweight champion, 32-2
.Chad Dawson, aged 28, former WBC and IBF Light-heavyweight champion, 30-1
.Yourkis Gamboa, aged 29, former WBA and IBF Featherweight champion, 20-0
.Anselmo Moreno, aged 25 current WBA Bantamweight champion 31-1-1.
So that's my pound for pound list of guys that hopefully have a few more years left in them. What do you guys think?
