i mean both are counter punchers and it seemed like most the time one was trying to bait the other. if anyone expected to see a war then yes you paid $50 for nothing.it was a chess game like tarver said and it was too bad many people missed out on this aspect of it. but i really was disappointed in jones. he could have gone to the body more and roy senior could have said something helpful like 'roy, when you flurry with tarver he stops punching' or 'roy when tarver tries to cut the ring feint like you're going at him then slip to the side to get you guys back in the middle of the ring'...i was disappointed in both joneses to be exact. as for tarver he had his moments trying to lure jones in with his pawing jab so he can unleash his left hand...but he really needed to press more. and what's with buddy telling tarver to 'go low when jones goes low'? jones obviously was trying to bait tarver to to go low by squating down like that...i figure tarver should fight tall and use his reach to his advantage like that nasty uppercut in the 11th or those stong left straights that always send jones to the ropes.).
anyone notice jones didn't do a good job of tying up tarver either. tarver up close would try to left hook jones up and over the top and almost rabit punch him when they tied up...the whole thing was just freakin' weird. i saw it at a bar and at least the nachos were great....lol
