Fluke cut? Vitali had multiple cuts, Vitali was gassed too he was holding onto Lewis for his life at the end of round 6. Lewis beat Vitali at his own game, he didn't choose to use his superior boxing skills, he stood right infront of Vitali and fought toe to toe. Lewis came out of it with a little cut on his nose, Vitali looked like half his face had been through a meat grinder. Lewis TKO 6.

I agree that Lewis has tougher skin than Vitali, but thats about it. You are right that Lewis was fighting Vitali's fight, Vitali has made a career out of knocking out guys in the late rounds of fights, Lewis on the other hand never knocked out a fighter in rounds 9-12, hell he only had one knockdown scored in his whole career in those late rounds against Tony tucker (had 1 knockdown in the 9th round) back in 93. I would have given Lewis 2 rounds to knock Vitali out, after that the younger more fresher and better conditioned Vitali would have knocked him out, period.
