"Step Up Their Level of Competition"?

HBO commentators are always saying about newcomers "OK, i think they should step up thier level of competition." they said it with julio chavez jr. and andre ward... wtf?

andre ward hasnt even had a dozen fights yet and HBO thinks hes fighting out of his league? likewise with chavez jr?

these guys are pro boxers, and you need to build up ur record first before you get offers to fight quality fighters. these guys are still new and they need to build up their record facing stiffs just like everybody else!

JCC jr has like 22 or 23 wins it is time he steps up slightly not too much because he is only like 19 but Ward he should be fighting guys who suck for now at least another 10 fights or so.

Chavez should have gained experience in the amateurs before turning pro, but he'd rather have a record off 200-0 with a long list of nobodies as victims.
