Booth was asking Boente to split them up because he did it last time, Boente was scared and asked Steward to do it. Booth also says "the hard mans here" when Vitali comes onto the stage.

Those problems can all be overcome, the ref issue is perhaps the most threatening one to the fight going ahead.
