Gamboa to possibly face Ponce De Leon in September

Gamboa outdid Lopez with both common fighters they fight, but how the hell will Gamboa do better than a TKO1 against Ponce? I think just a TKO in any round while dominating the rounds before the TKO, would be good. But who knows, maybe Gamboa would try to go for the TKO1 too.

Gamboa is just too quick he'll land his rapid fire flurries and be gone before Ponce has time to react plus dude is slow as mollasses
Same Ponce who got starched in like 20 secs against Juanma that's what i think about when i hear his name even though that doesn't really mean anything every fight is different and he was probably not warmed up and got caught.
Still given the options he's a decent fight and we'll see if Gamboa has progressed with a more professional style

well in Ponce's defense he did quite well for himself after that loss to Lopez, arguably going 8-0 since (if you think he beat Broner). I'm sure he would say he was weight drained at 122 pounds and he's fighting at a healthy weight now.

Of course I would totally expect a TKO from Gamboa regardless of all that.

But in the end, it's a solid name on Gamboa's resume and that's what he needs.

It is definitely a good name to have and a good matchup that I would be eager to watch. There's a lot of good fights to be made between 126-130 fighters. Gamboa can fight Garcia, John, Broner at 130.

Bob is trying to build a fanbase for Gamboa, no better place than AC, you got NYC, Philly and Jersey, lots of Cubans in the northeast.
