Unless the extra 7lbs hugely increase his punching power then he will be in big big trouble when he meets a top 10 contender. He needs a new trainer who will teach him to sit down on his punches sometimes to make boxers respect him.

There is not much difference between him and Petterson tbh. Both nice boxers who have never learned how to sit down on their punches... Petterson needs a new trainer

Of course he can't. Ortiz, Berto, Brook, and Pacquiao knock is ass out. Jones, Malinaggi, and Mayweather school his ass. Devon is a bum and a different weight class won't change that.

He is far from a bum mate. His fundamentals are good. He is only 24. He just needs a new trainer to teach him how to trade at times and grit his teeth and throw shots. All this screaming when he his throwing? Whats all that about? The kid can box. He just cant brawl or slug

I just dont see the need for him stepping up unless they feel his muscle mass at 147 will dramaticaly improve and he can **** in that division but i highly doubt that,

He needs a new trainer.. Simple as..

Yeah there are so many better fights to make at 140 and it's not like he's huge for that weight he's just going to be overmatched against bigger guys

Still a fan of the young fighter despite all of the HATE going on right now and despite being extremely disappointed in his last 3 fights

dude is still only 24, he can and will improve I think, the dude has a damn good chin and he is clearly not afraid to **** especially with somebody that is known for having POWER, he took shots for Urango before getting the KO and he took a TON OF SHOTS from Lucas so the dude is tough as hell

his probably is the lack of TRUE TECHNICAL SKILLS, he has NO VARIETY OFFENSIVELY, everything is jabs and straights, he head hunts too damn much, he doesn't go to the body at all, he has this lame ass Philly Shell defense which he doesn't know how to use at all

All he has to do is get a new Trainer and he will be OK, Kevin Cunningham is cool at getting Alexander IN SHAPE but when it comes to BOXING, Kevin Cunningham is probably limited, he should switch to a Alex Ariza type of ROLE and bring a Great Trainer to help him with Alexander
