Holy hasn't been Holy in ten years or more lol
It's really a shame that Byrd fought THAT version of Holy,
could have been a much better fight.

Hopefully a Toney match will happen. That would be interesting.
Byrd has come along way from the Bert Cooper and Jimmy Thunder from the days of the Tuesday night fights has he not.

i dont think anyone is denying byrd's skills, but he is fighting mediocre opponents and barely winning.... all the crying and whining that he's done through out his entire his career doesnt help either...

I already said it. He has accomplished alot..I just don't like the style.

He keeps winning and that is the name of the game. How about a loser goes home match between he and Ruiz?

Dont blame Byrd for the opponents, blame the sanctioning body. (IBF) I still think that if DKP would find him qaulity fights, he would fight more often and would look alot better. This is not the Byrd I'm used to seeing, I remember a time when he would fight any man any where.

Would love to see a unification match right about now in the heavyweight division.

Did you see the fight with Holyfield?

Yes you are right Byrd at one point was a slick HW but those days are gone long gone, he is no longer hard to hit like he once was, the small HW novelty has worn off in my eyes.

You site Holyfield, what is wrong with you, Evander was shot, hell why the **** do we even need to bring up the real deal, Chris Byrd lost the Oquedno fight plain as day, he got smoked by Wlad, he was a beaten fighter against VK until he got a gift, he got beat by Golota, barely squeaks by against Big Time???

The guy cant legitmately win a HW fight any more against a top fighter...and you site Holyfield, jesus christ...

I know whats coming next, his performance against Tua...Byrd is a *****, how can you defend a guy who punches with his fist open...he once was elsuive (the byrd who fought Ike was tough) but those days have passed, your just like the judges who have been giving him his last few fights, your still in aw of a guy who hasnt been himself for years now.

thats a lame excuse, he fought fres, mccline and golota, 3 mediocre opponents, and barely won...
