Sturm v Macklin

Just got round to watching the fight. And what a fight! Absolutely cracking! I have so much respect for Macklin and I'm gutted for him. Can't agree with people who had him winning though. Sturm's superior accuracy did just enough to steal it for me. I cynically said Sturm would win by a hometown verdict before the fight, but that's really not what happened at all. I've got my fingers crossed that the proposed rematch does happen!

Sturm was the heavier handed and more accurate but he didn't throw very much.
Macklin was working him over like a punchbag all through the fight.
I had Macklin winning.

Fair enough. I see why people might have had Macklin winning. I don't see why some people are saying it's a robbery though, it clearly could have gone either way.

I had Macklin winning but i'm not complaining about the decision, if they do have a rematch i fully expect Sturm to win a lot more convincingly possibly even stopping Macklin late on, i think Felix took Matthew lightly i don't think he would make the same mistake twice..
