Comments Thread For: Malignaggi To Alexander: You Want Another Ass Kicking!

Earlier today BoxingScene.com ran a story in which Devon Alexander's trainer and manager Kevin Cunningham announced that his fighter's split decision victory over Lucas Matthysse on Saturday would be his last fight at 140 pounds. Cunningham went on to say he would like his fighter to face former junior welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi who is 2-0 since making the move up to the welterweight division.

Like I said on the 1st article, Paulie could win this fight. Even though he lacks power he is fast and ACCURATE, something that Devon is severely lacking lately.

          Devon clearly lost Saturday.

I'm not convinced Paulie could handle him at 147 though. Then again, we said the same thing about Diaz, and Alexander aint no Amir Khan.

Have to give Malignaggi props because for a guy with a bad right hand that stays injured. He sure as hell is in fights and winning. Dude don't even have no real power.

i just watched the alexander fight expecting a shocking robbery going by everything i've read, but i had devon winning at like 5/6 of them rounds, and he got the kd so i think people are being harsh here. it could of gone either way. i like paulie, not sure he could beat alexander- i guess it depends whether devon has been struggling to make the weight or not. would be a good fight
