Now pitted against Pac and all of a sudden he's not ready, too raw, yada yada.
I also remember Pac being lambasted by stans saying he don't fight african-american boxers, and boxers who are young upstarts who pose a threat.
Now these newsfeeds from Arum and Jones that Pac is next for MJ, and stans still have reason to discredit!
With that out of the way.
1. Mike Jones was a heavily touted young fighter, BEFORE his poor performance against Karras. Don't just ignore that. That's just an ignorant post. Mike Jones is no loner the talk of the town like he was. Maybe another good win against a top fighter will get people talking about him again.
2. Manny Pacquao has been accused of ducking and dodging the slick African American style of boxing. Shane Mosley is not a slick African American, Mike Jones is not a slick African American. People also ignore this. Bernard Hopkins accused Pacquiao of never fighting a slick fighter, and that is the truth. And if you can sit there and call Mosley a slick fighter or Jones a slick fighter, then you're an idiot. Mosley, Jones, Bradley aren't slick fighters. But i'll tell you one thing, Timothy Bradley and Mike Jones are fighters with a pulse, young fighters, undefeated, not worn out. And that's why I would like to see either of them facing Pacquiao. But I just don't see Pacquiao taking those fights. I hope i'm wrong though.

There must be a three year difference in age of boxers fighting each other.
So there will be be no excuse that the the fighter is too old or too young.

What did you think of the Cintron suggestion ?

If they follow your suggestion..... no more old champions residing as the gatekeeper, no more old bull vs young lion matchups..... who would Hopkins fight, there are no 43yo's worthy of him?
Good point, but there has to be another way.
