I didn't score it but I thought he beat Kotelnik...but I don't see how he won last night...it shudda been a draw or a W for Mathysse...
Did Alexander just lose his last 3 fights?

Don King has the judges stacked- just like the Kotelnik fight.
Hometown decisions and corruption are always going to weaken the sport, no matter the era. And when boxing is as weak as it is now, decisions like these especially hurt the sport.
The first Lewis-Holyfield decision helped to kill the heavyweight division. Chavez-Whitaker still scars boxing in Texas. More recently, Felix Sturm lost a hometown decision to Oscar, but got one against that tough Irishman.
Alexander won't get another meaningful fight in St. Louis for the rest of his career due to this second gift decision. Mattysse has a right to be upset, as does Golden Boy and HBO. The score of 116-113 has got to be looked into.
The fight was even kind of stacked from the start given that it was only ten rounds. That plays to Alexander's favour because there is less time, and therefore less of a chance, to get caught by a punch.
How was the decision to only have ten rounds arrived at? Does Bradley only have to fight ten rounds for his return payday from HBO?
Just a comedy of errors.Last edited by William Blake; 06-27-2011, 01:43 AM.Comment

He should be 0-3 for his last three fights, but the Kotelnik result was the most shocking and a much bigger mugging than the Mathysse fight.Comment

Numbers doesn't always tells the whole story, but his defensive stats really proved that all of these fights were close. There's no way it showed that he won three out of these four fights convincingly.Comment

I think he has lost his last 3 fights.
No shame though - he has taken on 3 very good opponents. Imagine how good boxing would be if everyone took on tough fights like Alexander. Credit to him.
It's not his fault the judges have given him the nod.
He's a very good young fighter, and he will only improve.Comment
