That falls under the category of two top 10 P4P fighters. That definitely calls for 12 rounds.

You also have to put in perspective of big PPV fights. You will never see a PPV main event being 10 rounds.

Alexander vs Mataysay was not a big fight. The fight wasn't even to determine who's a top 3 of the two. Right now the top 3 JWW's are Bradley, Khan and Maidana. No matter who would have won impressively last night, they would not have been top 3 JWW.

TBH I was shocked it was only 10 rounds, but after a while if you think about it, the fight wasn't this huge event with titles on the line or anything, just comeback fighters.

I think that falls under "or at least one of them has to be top 10 P4P" of my personal made-up list, because Floyd Mayweather Jr was a top 10 P4P fighter when that fight happened. I think he was #1 P4P, wasn't he?

              Not entirely true Kev.

About 2 or 3 years ago, Barrera fought in China against an unknown and it was a non-title 12 rd fight.

I forgot the other guy's name.

That can't be right. There was no title for the first Martinez vs Williams fight. Nothing was on the line.

I'm not understanding WTF is the problem?

The normal length between 2 contenders are 10 rounds. On special circumstances is 12. But, the normal length is 10. This fight was 10 rounds. So what's the big deal?

I would understand if this **** was 8 rounds. But, no it was the normal length.
