Until Brook starts fighting better opponents, then he is not even in contention to face Khan. He may win, he is a naturally heavier guy, but he jas muchto improve on, like Khan.

As for Jones, he had to rematch Karass. It was a close fight, heck Karass may have won it in my view. I wasn't sure if it was a forced rematch or not though, but Frank mentioned that.

As has been said time and time again in the thread, if Kell keeps moving up the levels and grabs a strap, it's a logical fight.

Nobody's saying it should happen right here, right now.

I love Amir, but too many of his boosters on here are wayyy too defensive and queeny over him. You get the feeling they'd let him take a crap in their mouths. And, no, I'm not referring to waz.

LMAO @ my exchange with ****Droola on some of the previous pages, for instance. Perfect example of an estrogenically-charged, irrational bitch.

Remember that it was Brook's who called out Khan previously. He basicaly wanted it ASAP I recall.

Of course when he gets a strap then Khan's team will have him in mind, but that is a big if. Yes it is true that 147 has lost the stars and quality, or perhaps they are out of Brook's reach, but he isn't beating Ortiz.

        Obviously Pac destroys him.

He may beat the other two, it depends if Ortiz unifies.

Jones will be a good test for him if it is made. Jones is still learning to pace a fight, and Brook's needs more 12 rounders.

Oh, we're back to talking about what fighters are quoted as saying in the media and analyzing every statement again. That's another of the kind of traits I can't stand in boxing fans.

I don't analyze the chat attributed to Amir much, either, some of which has looked outlandish in print. I don't really hold much of what any fighter says against them, certainly not what they say in the line of hyping up near or distant future matchups.

I'm sure Brook realized he wasn't getting the fight immediately and that any comments he actually made were just to keep the idea of the fight in the media as a simmering possibility for the future.

The only guy I do hold anything against re. hypey statements made is Haye, and that's a very special circumstance - that guy has had to be slowly maneuvered into the ring with Wlad ever since he took that piddly crap-strap away from the deteriorated, slow giant.

It's not that big an if.

Give the kid some more development time before we decide if he can take Vic down the line. Many people think Ortiz would smash Amir, too, FWIW.

Why are we even talking about Pac, who's a hardened war veteran and a Megastar on a level that neither Brook nor Khan will ever reach?

Pacquiao obliterates Khan, too (if only Pac fought anyone who was in their prime anymore, anyway, something he won't have been doing for two years and three fights in a row after JMM III).

Pacquiao-Brook has never really been a prospect, regardless of Kell being in line for a shot at Pac's belt back when.

                Agreed.

Why not be positive and optimistic about Kell, though? I mean, really, why the frick not?

Too much needless pessimism, and spots of downright irrational resentment, coming from some of the Khan Krew on here.

At this moment in time, you'd lean to Ortiz.

But let's see Kell get some more fights and then it's a fair one to call.

Dont get me wrong, I like Vic, he is quick and powerful but his defense isnt great and even now its not beyond the realms of possibility that Kell could outbox him. I think a lot of people are inflating his abilities because he has got a fight with Floyd, rather than the things he has done in the ring. He showed a lot of heart against Berto, but the flaws were there for all to see.

WTF do I know anyway? I am an unashamed Kell Brook fan! lol

Only reason I'd lean to Ortiz at this time is experience - otherwise, I'm a big believer in Kell's talent up against the talent of Ortiz.

Lots of great reasons to be a Kell Brook fan.
